Slade is a family owned company, established in 1990, when the graphite technology began to develop. All of the products are graphite based and are the result of a 20 years research and development. Slade manufactures all of its own patented graphite yarns, which are protected by US & EU patents. Slade 3300 series packings advantage is that each individual strand has it's own unique core made of high tensile carbon fiber. They were developed to conduct heat like steel alloys, to transfer the heat away from the shaft, therefore in most applications flush is not required.
This technology reduces the number of oxidation sites in the packing graphite yarns so that 3300G packing can be used in more severe temperature and chemical applications than competitor’s packings. Slade Pyro-Tex Gasket Sheet is a unique product made from Slade patented graphite yarns with 304SS core, then it is woven into a tough, resilient cloth-like sheet.
